About

Built by a lawyer who's been on both sides.

Vladimir Vereskoun

Founder

Vladimir spent eight years at Baker Botts working on cross-border M&A and venture capital transactions — the kind of complex, multi-jurisdictional deals where coordination between counsel matters as much as the legal analysis itself.

Then he moved to the other side of the table. For four and a half years as CLO of an international fintech, he experienced firsthand what clients go through: coordinating local counsel across jurisdictions, managing unpredictable invoices, waiting weeks for routine work, and acting as project manager between firms that didn't talk to each other.

Clarent is the firm he wished existed during those years. A firm that works across borders by design, not by referral. That uses AI to deliver in hours what traditionally takes weeks. That charges flat fees because clients deserve to know what they're paying before the work begins.

He didn't just found Clarent — he built its AI infrastructure from the ground up. The platform that powers the firm's document analysis, contract editing, and legal research is proprietary technology, designed specifically for legal work by someone who understands both the legal and technical requirements.

What we believe.

Clients deserve to know the price before the work begins.

Every engagement is scoped and quoted upfront. Flat fees, no exceptions. If the scope changes, we tell you before the bill does.

AI is the how, not the what.

Clients hire us for legal outcomes, not technology demos. AI makes us faster and more affordable. The lawyers make us accountable.

Cross-border shouldn't mean cross-purposes.

One firm coordinating across jurisdictions with the same standards and the same platform. Not three firms with three invoices giving three different answers.
