Built on infrastructure we designed from the ground up.

Every AI law firm says they use artificial intelligence. We built ours. Clarent runs on Anylegal.ai — a proprietary legal AI platform designed for cross-border contract work, from document analysis to tracked-changes redlining.

Most “AI law firms” are wrappers.

They connect a general-purpose chatbot to a portal and call it a platform. The contracts you upload pass through third-party infrastructure. The AI gives suggestions in a chat window — not tracked changes in your Word document. The system doesn’t know your jurisdiction, your counterparty, or the last three contracts you signed with them.

We thought that was unacceptable for legal work. So we built something else.

One agent. Built for legal work.

Anylegal.ai is the AI platform that powers every Clarent engagement. It was designed around the workflows of cross-border legal practice — contract review, multi-jurisdiction research, regulatory analysis — by a team that understands both the legal substance and the technical architecture.

Contract Review & Redlining

The agent reads your contract, checks it against Clarent’s playbook, flags risks by severity, and returns a redlined Word document with tracked changes. Not suggestions in a sidebar — actual .docx redlines you can accept or reject.

Multi-Jurisdiction Research

Legal research across jurisdictions with sourced citations. The agent identifies the governing law, checks relevant regulations, and synthesizes answers — not hallucinated summaries, but verifiable research with links to primary sources.

Document Drafting

Generates contracts from Clarent’s templates or from scratch. Applies the firm’s standard positions and preferred clause language automatically. The lawyer reviews and refines — the agent handles the first 80%.

Progressive Context

The agent learns your deal. When you send a second contract from the same counterparty, it already knows the negotiation history, the agreed positions, and the open issues. Zero repetition across documents within a matter.

Why build a platform to run one firm?

Because the infrastructure determines what’s possible.

When a client sends us a contract at 2pm, we need to return a redlined document — not a summary, not a memo about the document, but a tracked-changes Word file — by end of day. Across time zones. With jurisdiction-aware analysis. At a flat fee that makes sense.

No off-the-shelf tool does that. Enterprise legal AI costs $300–500 per seat and locks you into a closed system. General-purpose AI doesn’t know what a DPA is or why DIFC and Singapore treat data residency differently. So we built the layer in between: open-source tools, zero-retention AI models, and a workspace designed around how cross-border legal work actually flows.

The result: Clarent’s lawyers spend their time on judgment and client communication — not reformatting AI output into something a client can actually use.

How it’s built.

Privacy by design

Your documents are encrypted at rest. The AI models we use operate on zero-retention endpoints — nothing is stored on the model provider’s side. This isn’t a contractual promise. It’s a technical architecture you can audit.

Open tools

Anylegal.ai’s core tools are open source on GitHub. The skills that power contract review, research, and drafting are portable markdown files — not proprietary black boxes. We publish what we can because transparency builds trust.

AI at cost

We don’t mark up AI costs. When the agent analyzes a contract, the underlying model cost is passed through at zero margin. The firm’s fee covers legal expertise and quality assurance — not a technology tax.

Choose your model

Anylegal.ai supports multiple LLM providers. We select the model that’s best for each task — not the one that’s cheapest or the one we have an exclusive deal with. You see which model ran and what it cost.

Anylegal.ai is also available as a standalone platform.

We built Anylegal.ai to power Clarent. But the same infrastructure is available to other law firms, in-house teams, and legal professionals who want private, auditable legal AI — without the enterprise price tag.
